The 90-Day Strategic Visibility Sprint: How to Build a Category-Leading Presence from Scratch

You Don’t Have a Content Problem. You Have a Clarity Problem.
It might be tempting to scroll right past this “make a major change in 90 days” post. I’m well aware that most 90-day frameworks are not realistic, whether it’s designed to get you to eat healthy, organize your entire house, or build the next big startup. In marketing, many of these plans will tell you to post every day, engage with strangers for three hours, and “be authentic” until the algorithm finally notices you.
I’m not going to tell you to do any of that. Because if you do - and your positioning is a mess - then posting more content is just broadcasting your own confusion to a larger audience.
You might be shocked to hear (yes, I’m being sarcastic!) that the reason most startups fail to build a category-leading presence has very little to do with a lack of consistent posting. It comes down to messaging drift, or the gap between what you think you do, what your website says you do, and what your prospects actually hear. That gap fills with noise instead of authority.
So, if you’ve got 90-days to get your digital presence in order, let’s not focus on going viral. Let’s focus on category engineering. At Purple Chia, we’ve developed a three-phase sprint designed to move you towards top ranking as an undisputed category leader. We start by diagnosing the rot in your current messaging, architecting a new and improved narrative, and realigning your entire digital footprint to reflect that new reality.
If you’re looking for a “get-rich-quick” social media hack, close this tab now. But if you’re ready to build a presence that actually closes deals, let’s get to work. Read on to learn exactly how our 90-Day Strategic Visibility Sprint works.
Phase 1 (Days 1-30): The Diagnostic & Architecture
(Also known as The Invisibility Audit and the Foundation of Truth)
It might be tempting to start a 90-day sprint with a content calendar. That’s a fatal mistake though. Because if you create content without first diagnosing the messaging drift that exists in your business, you’re just accelerating in the wrong direction. Remember, messaging drift is that silent killer where your internal team thinks you do one thing, your website says you do another, and your LinkedIn presence is a confused mix of both with some other random things thrown into the mix.
So in this first month, we aren’t looking for engagement and likes. We’re actually looking for the rot, the stuff that’s dragging you down. We perform a narrative scan to see how your brand stacks up against the commodity language of your competitors. For example, if everyone else in your space is "passionate about results,” that phrase should be officially dead and useless to you.
These 30 days are spent creating that one source of truth that will serve as the foundation for all of your content marketing efforts going forward:
The Positioning Audit: A deep-dive into every touchpoint to find where your message is leaking trust (i.e. how many different ways do you describe yourself and what you do?)
Competitive Narrative Scan: Mapping the “sea of sameness” so we know exactly how to sail away from it (i.e. how are all your competitors defining themselves and how can you differentiate?)
The Messaging Hierarchy: Developing the language that speaks to different levels of awareness in your market (i.e. how to consistently share the same message but targeted based on where in the marketing funnel people are).
Category Framing: Deciding if you are playing in someone else’s sandbox or building your own (i.e. are you creating a new category or do you need to stand out in an existing one?).
Phase 2 (Days 31-60): The Great Realignment
(Also known as Syncing the Narrative and Establishing Authority)
By Day 31, there’s a strategy in place, but the external reality is still messy. In this phase, we focus on synchronizing the narrative. Think about your prospect’s journey to you and how non-linear it probably is: they might see a post on LinkedIn, click your profile, and then visit your website. Or that order might be different. Or they ask ChatGPT about you. It’s hard to know exactly what they might do, but if every time they see your name, the experience and message feels different, the cognitive dissonance could kill the sale before it starts.
During this phase, we’ll perform a content reset. We’ll align the Founder’s and the company’s LinkedIn presences and the company website to the new source of truth blueprint created in phase 1. But we won’t stop at cosmetic fixes. This is also the month where we will build an authority asset.
This asset is highly customized and will depend very much on the specific company and its needs, but it could be a deep-dive case study, a whitepaper, a sales page, a blog post, etc. It’s to get you started with that first piece of content that uses your brand new aligned messaging and it ties up everything else that’s done during this month:
Founder & Website Realignment: Ensuring your “digital storefront” actually reflects your new high-authority positioning.
The Authority Asset Creation: Developing one long-form piece of content that sets you on your new content journey.
The Content Direction Reset: Auditing (or creating) content pillars to ensure every future piece of content reinforces your category framing.
Visual Congruence: This is optional, but we can work with your designer to make sure the look and feel of your brand matches your new messaging.
Phase 3 (Days 61-90): Moving Towards Sustainable Dominance
Most content plans fail because they have no exit strategy and just require you to post forever until you burn out. The bad news is that you actually kind of do have to keep on creating content and posting it, but in phase 3, we take the architecture from phase 1 and the realignment from phase 2 and turn them into a self-sustaining engine.
The goal here is to build a library of insights and systems that are specific to your brand and your goals. As our 90-day sprint comes to a close, we leave you with a 6-month positioning roadmap so that you won’t default back to average behavior! And, of course, we can always stick around to help you continue to implement ongoing content, but even if you choose to go it alone, you’ll have the guardrails, templates, and feedback loops in place to ensure your digital presence continues to shorten your sales cycle and attract high-tier leads.
A glimpse of what you get at the end of the sprint:
The 6-Month Roadmap: A strategic calendar that moves from “awareness” to “conversion” using your content pillars.
Narrative Consistency Guardrails: The “rules of engagement” for your brand to prevent any future messaging drift.
The Handshake System: A cheat-sheet on how to use content to optimize the path from a social media “like” to a discovery call.
The Performance Presentation: A final review of the sprint’s impact and what needs to happen going forward.
The 90-Day Reality Check
If you’ve read this far, you’ve realized that a category-leading presence isn’t going to be built on tricks, hacks, or even volume. You need to have the guts to stop, look at the rot in your current messaging, and commit to a blueprint that makes your competition irrelevant (or at least shows how you are better than they are!).
The 90-day mark is a filter. Many people in your position will spend the next three months doing exactly what they’ve done for the last three - posting into the void, suffering from messaging drift, and wondering why their leads are unqualified and their sales cycles are exhausting.
But you have a different option now. You can spend the next 90 days engineering your dominance.
Are you Ready to Stop the Drift?
Building a presence is easy. But building authority is quiet, strategic work that pays dividends for years. If you are ready to stop guessing and start leading, then let’s talk.
Our goal at Purple Chia is not to just give you a plan, but to join you in the trenches. Our Strategic Visibility Sprint handles the diagnostic and architecture phases for you in just 8 weeks, and then leaves you with a 6 month roadmap to market dominance and a self-sustaining engine.
